Philip S. Burnham Represents Plaintiffs in Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Lawsuit

The lawsuit, Diane Ruberton, et al. v. Damon G. Tyner, was filed in New Jersey Superior Court on January 10, 2019 by three long-serving, high-ranking female employees of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office. The suit alleges that Prosecutor Damon Tyner retaliated against them in the workplace after they blew the whistle for gender discrimination, unequal pay and other unlawful conduct. Philip Burnham of Burnham Law Group along with Michelle Douglass of the Douglass Law Group are the attorneys representing the plaintiffs.

“The allegations of retaliation that are rampant throughout this complaint seem to paint a picture of a fiefdom established by Damon Tyner that silenced those voices inside the ACPO who dared challenge any questionable conduct that Tyner or other-ranking officials at the ACPO engaged in,” said Philip Burnham of Burnham Law Group, a lawyer for the plaintiffs. “Donna, Heather, and Diane are courageous for bringing these allegations to light and giving the people of Atlantic County an idea of the kind of leadership their taxpayer dollars appear to be paying for.”
